Hello test, test. Hello testing, is the camera on me now, cameraman

good.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen!

In order to elaborate about improving Haiti's economical conditions, one had to be, as suggested by a previous poster, familiar with the Haitian society, culture, etc...

Then, you'd be able to visualize considerable approaches, suggestions relatives to our unique situation.

Haiti's problems are solvable provided we start at the right place.

Too often people say they are willing to eliminate our lives' difficulties, to simple leave great inticipation wondering.

Others brushed the dust under the carpet, fill up their pockets and move on to Haitian's wealthier neighbors, willing to enjoy the money stolen from poor people in Haiti.

In my own personal opinion, a good realistic approach to at least, attempt solving the countries' historical, social, polical, religious, cultural, all of that have lead to our economical dead ends.

1-- ON A HISTORICAL STAND POINT--

a) In the International cummunity, Haiti has long being reviled; the Haitian people have been subjected to various sorts of embargos, financial punishments by powerful nations on the planet, notably the US, France, Great Bretain, Spain, The Netherland, Portugal, Australia, etc. They have made it a conserted commitment to systematically suffocate the Haiti people.

b) Haitian society within the country has always had a divisive mind set ever since the days after our nation's independence.

And throughout our soon to be 204 (January the first, 2008)years of declaring ourselves free from the yokes of Napoleon's barbary, slaughter house, we never had a single leader, at least trying to encourage the UNITY off all Haitians; whether you are white, yellow, red, brown, black, of Asian, Muslims, Arabs, others in between descents, we are all HAITIANS, & should put the common good first, prior to personal interest.

Dessalines, according to history, might have been to only leader with a UNITY plan for the common good, but we all know that his reign was short lived by an embuscade in Pont Rouge on October the seventeenth, 1806.

The Duvalier regimes,(father & son) has had the opportunity for 30 years, to not only do something worth the people's while, leaving a lasting legacy which could have made Haitians pround being from the land of Jean-Jacques Dessalines;Toussaint Francois L' Ouverture; Alexandre Petion; Capois La mort, & co, Instead they have left the country & its people emotionally drained, economically vulnerable, on its knees, spirutally confused, with an IDENTITY CRISIS at an all time low, resulting from the way the son remained silent to original accusations that the Aids virus originated from our country.

Others after the Dulaliers, have furthered the Haitian people suffering, including Jean-Bertrand Aristid who had failed to capitalized on his popularity with the vast majority of the people, to bring about UNITY amongst all Haitians, at last. Yes, indeed, he encouraged the deffensless poor to take on their wealthier country men when they are hungry.

In that respect, he had, like the Duvaliers, failed us as the very first democratically elected leader of our country.

Could his behaviours, or misunderstanding while in power due to his lack of political experience?

You decide what the answer is.

If I had to elaborate into all of the aspects of life that sould taken into consideration in order to bring realistic solutions to our country's problems, evidently, that would take me awhile, to do so. But these are the things which cannot be undermined, if one truely deisre to bring a change in Haiti.
