Just because he is seeking the U.S help doesn't mean the U.S wants to help him. The U.S helped bringing down Aristide because of his capabilities of bringing a better life to Haiti.

President Preval is either really smart of really stupid for taking a picture with Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

He is constantly seeking the help of the US Government yet he is in contact with all the world leaders that the United States will not talk to "without preconditions"
