Linda The Dominican Republic Independence day celebration is

Pertaining to Dominican Republic/ Marie and Rubens, Linda The Dominican Republic Independence day celebration is their independence from Haiti not Spain.

They loathed Haiti and Haitians, after all the government of Boyer I believe collected from them some of those millions to pay the French to let say "recognize" our independence, how ironic.

If we won our independence fair and square why did we have to pay anything at all. Did the French pay the Haitians for their labor?

or their blood, sweat and tears to be exact.
