Replying to $20,000 for Haitian Orphanage, Oh please, give me a break! and please do me a big favor, keep your emotion to youself, will you?
As a Haitian, natif natal, I have been doing what I can for Haiti since 1995. I spend a lot of time in Haiti, and I see and heard from the locals what's really going on in Haiti.
You wannabe bonified self-righteous about it, it's fine with me, but don't think that I have to fall for it.
As I said before, since the quake, Haiti has become a money making machine to a lot of people and organizations who are getting firlty rich in the name of doing wonders in Haiti.
As of today, there are about 10 thousand humanitarian projects in Haiti (more than the entire caribbean put toghter) and they're all claiming to be doing wonders in Haiti.
And yet, life just keeps getting worse every passing day in Haiti.
How can anyone explain that logic?
Just because you hear slogans like "orphenage/poor Haitian kids/feeding hungry kids in Haitian, etc. etc...everybody is filled with emotion, crying, and reach to their walet and give their very last dollar out because they want to make themesleves feel good knowing that they just save a life or 2 in Haiti.
Well, I wish you all good luck on that one.
I know one thing for sure that many of these humanitarian projects and organizations are not really doing a damn thing for Haiti like they claim to. Many of these people are in Haiti to get rich while they're working on building their self-esteem.
Haiti is the land of Self-Esteem booster program.
Anyone with low-self-esteem goes to Haiti and be part of one of these humanitarian projects or organizations, and in less than a week, that person's self-esteem is up to the roof feeling very confident, and happy.
What make you so sure the money will be actually spent as intended?
Do you believe it will because the orphenage is run by white people?
