Tiba, mwen pa blan monche, Je suis un citoyen Haitien
Un/1 Ci/6 to/3 yen/1 :)
Like LINDA once said, I don't mix my blogging life with my real life. Most of the time I am reading you, every once in a while I will post something.
What you just did is typical, you read something, you don't like it, and you begin to call me a "Black Uncle Tom" so I can drop the subject.
It is true that we have become a nation of consumers, all we do is consume.
We blow money away, we consume, we buy things we cannot afford.
Haitians in Haiti not only consume food 'Ke yo pa plante', but they consume the life savings of their family members in the diaspora.
Tout lajounen se "envoi moi, envoi moi"
we cannot save money mainly because Haitians in Haiti constantly complain and we have to send they the 'ten percent' that we are supposed to put away for a rainy day.
Do you agree, Tiba?
When I was growing up in Haiti, most of the food we ate came from the family 'JADIN' and my father had no money coming via CAM, BOBBY EXPRESS, HATREXCO, or WESTERN UNION.
Think about it,
Haitians are slaves, the government officials are the slaves of 'KOMINOTE ENTENASYONAL LA', and the people consume everything, even your pocket, Tiba, if you hapen to live here in the US.
Nou pa produi anyen, nou pa plante anyen, nou pa rekolte anyen, nou pa exporte anyen.
Nou manje, epi nou depanse.
The last time I was in Haiti I was told that even the lemon used in my 'citronade' came from the Dominican Republic.
I found the article interesting and I knew it would raise eyebrowes which is why I posted it here.
If we replace "Talented Tenth" in the article with "The Elite" of "The Mulatoes" explain to me what part of the article is wrong:
"The segment of the culture that has achieved some 'form' of success was then responsible to aid The Non-Talented Ninety Percent in achieving a better life"
"Instead, that segment has created another class, a 'Neg Anwo' class that looks down on their people or aids them in a condescending manner.
They speak a diferent language, FRENCH"
"When they do get together, their selfishness lets their egos get in the way of their goal Their so-called help organizations seem to only want to promote their name without making any real change in their community."
Haiti is in a hole now, we have to find the root of the problem amd we have to adress it.
Call me a black uncle tom if you want, this is how I feel.
It is not important who I am Tiba, know that a computer did not write this.
