Petrus, to some level I do agree with you as far as African Americans choosing their own fate by not educating themselves.
I have some African American friends I hang with and it is visible that for the greater part African American culture is anti-education.
Ghetto culture is romanticized in music videos, movies and so on.
Going to school getting an education and speaking proper English is just not encouraged in African American culture.
However I think you must acknowledge that there is a system or a racist culture set in place that makes it extremely hard for that group from advance.
I do think they're responsible for their own failure, but at the same time I recognize that it's not easy for that group.
Just look in the public schools in the minority neighborhoods.
