My name is Bob Warner and I have worked with Harvey on this from the start.

This is not intended to just clean up Haiti but to allow the poorest of the poor to gather waste plastics (at no cost to them) and use that plastic to make their own blocks and eventually their own homes (again at no cost other than labor).

This has not aided the US poor in any way because we have not attempted to do so. Basically with a concept like this it makes sense to go to a place that is getting a lot of publicity for the CURRENT poor living conditions that also have a plastics problem.

Use that location to show how a poor family can build a house on their own when there are no other resources available for them to do so. Even inexpensive homes are out of reach if you have no money but the plastic is nothing more than litter that when used to build a home it has the added advantage of cleaning up the environment at the same time.

Assuming it works in Haiti, that success would drive other countries to use the concept themselves to improve the environment and to allow those that need it to build their own homes.

We are not talking about big fancy homes but simple structures that unskilled people can make with a little coaching.

Haiti has a plastics problem and they also have a housing shortage right now. People are hurting and the world is watching to see how they handle it, this is one possible solution for some people.

Over time there will be people that are very good at making the blocks.

These people can "Sell" their skill to others or barter for others to collect plastic they can use to build their own homes. This creates trade that can help those with no income and no current potential for jobs to create their own jobs and barter or receive cash for their efforts.

I am excited about this and am proud to have been part of the building of the very first block and testing it by driving my truck onto it without it collapsing or falling apart.

I have confidence this will work and would hope that others that are not so sure will pitch in and try to solve the issues they see with it. It will do nothing but make someone's life better, the planet cleaner and Harvey, myself and a lot of others extremely happy to be a part of it.

If one home is completed and one family has a place to live, it is a great success.

If you see problems with it, please help us get past them and moving forward at a fast pace.

Selling the blocks are not the goal, teaching people to build their own is the goal. Harvey (nor I) expect to make a single dollar from a potential home owner.

We want them to owe nothing when their home is completed.

Thanks,

Bob
