Sweet Micky & The American media

Can somebody please tell me why does the American media keep referring to Michelle Marteley (Sweet Micky) as the "Carnival Singer?"

I never heard the American media referred to Ronald Reagan as the "Cowboy Actor" during the presidential election in 1980.

I think the american media is making a mockery at Sweet Micky to insult and dihumanize him because he is happened to be a black Haitian running for president.

As usual, American always thought of Haitians as subhuman.

What is your thoughts about that?
