What you see is what you get

The most evident trait of President Preval is his nonchalance.

With Preval what you see is what you get, the man doesn't seem to care about anything nor does have the talent to deal with Haiti's problems.

It's pointless to argue about the election now. Nothing beneficial will come out of it. It's clear that electoral laws were violated but everyone knows that Haiti is a special case far too many of the Haitian population are uneducated.

Laws are rarely followed, and by this i'm not by no mean encouraging that laws should continue to be violated.

What i'm saying is that we should be realistic.

We had an election where some 20 candidates were basically challenging one candidate (Preval).

How could he not have won?

The opposition blew it, so now everybody should keep quiet.

Instead of dividing into differnet little groups they should have come together and nominate one candidate to challenge Preval.

It would have been easier and more effective.

The voters had too many to choose from. Most people went with the person they knew best. Why is it that we always unite to destroy but not to build.

It was very easy for everybody to come together to get rid of Aristide.

Why didn't they do the same thing to elect someone who would be able to change the face of Haiti over the next five years.

They knew full well that a great number of Haitians are uneducated they should have united to campaign in a way that Haitians would understand.

Stop arguing about technicalities.

Long before the blank votes were evaluated Preval was already ahead noone can deny that. One thing that is very important in any election is name recognition Preval had it. The opposition would have faired better if it had united during the first run. But no they decided to gamble.

NO one made it easy for the voters so they voted for the person knew best. I'm 26 years old you old geezers haven't done anything to help my generation I bet you my generation will do a better job developing Haiti because I don't think any generation will fail as badly as you guys have.
