You are right on the money.

As decent and conscious Haitians, we have an obligation to denounce and make this low-life-shame public.

However, as much as I am against voodoo, I don't think it would be a good think to advocate its abolishment because voodoo can be used as a very good tourist attraction, which could bring tons of money to the public treasury if get smart enough.

Beside the food in Louisiana, voodoo is also one of the big tourist attraction in New Orleans, why can't we use it too to our benefit?

Oh, by the way, according to a CNN story that I watched awhile ago about voodoo, Miami is considered to be the vodoo capital of the world.

The story claimed that there are big name celebrities from Hollywood who come to Miami regularly to see "Boko" (voodoo priests) in order to inhence/advance their career.

As we can see, white people use voodoo for good things while Haitians use it for bad things, to harm others.
