Centered on I got cut off by Haitian embassy in D. C, I've actually had a few other occassions where they were decent, but my initial contact was not so good. The woman asked me to send an e-mail confirmation regarding my request, but she never responded and when I attempted to followup with her she would not take my phone calls.Then, after asking about the long delay (three-to-four weeks), someone else in the office said my e-mails never came thru and that the woman I originally spoke with was not available.
One official even implied that I made the whole thing up. How absurd! I'm not Haitian, but the encounter left me a bit confused to say the least.
