Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has resumed deportations to Haiti.

According to an article by Miami Herald, ICE, "the U.S. government agency that enforces immigration in the U.S.A. is part of the problem."

Six South Florida members of Congress have appealed to the White House to adopt a more compassionate position regarding deportations to Haiti.

Here is a comment from Florida Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Florida Mario Rafael Diaz-Balart in a jointletter to President Bush:

"Sending Haitian nationals back to Haiti is both inhumane and unsafe"

Will president Bush listen with only a few weeks left in office?

Most importantly, Will President Obama listen after swearing in as President of the United States?
