WHAT HOPE LEAVES HAITI: The Empty Bucket.

ALL HOPE LEFT IS AN EMPTY BUCKET.

By Wilgeens Rosenberg

A forgotten promise that never appears,
In a country of constant neglect.

A sadness embraced by many fears,
A loneliness with much reject
Is all hope left.

Humor says "never mind" the quenching thirst
With that hunger begging for mercy;
Remember the inspiration that ran here first.

A help once given to you had no hypocrisy.

In returns, nor was it ever as empty.

Would these arms be open and beg,
However now they are weary and frail.

For salvation that came in empty bags;
Each time, once again joy has left no trail.

An Empty Bucket Is all hope left.
