Our ancesters' wisdom

< Previous | Home | Next >

When the founding fathers created the republic of Haiti, they know exactly why they gave us our national motto: " In unity is strength".

Many years later, our nation face its greatest survival test.
For us to survive, we have to back to our roots because the strength of a nation resides above all in its source.

Our strength is in the palm tree, our national symbol, and our motto "strength in unity".

It is no wonder that the rise and fall of the eagle corresponded to the rise and fall of the United States.

I suggest that the haitian government makes every effort to educate our people about our symbol and to plant thousands, if not millions of palm trees, throughout the republic especially in front of national buildings and monuments.

As far as our motto is concerned, it is the only thing
that could save us in our current situation.

Unless we unite as a nation, we will not go anywhere.

Children should be taught the value of unity instead of the current infighting which characterizes our relationship with one another.

We should always support one another especially against a foreigner.

We should always assure that there is peace and unity among ourselves because prosperity will not rise in disharmony and chaos.

Otherwise, we are doomed.

God bless!
