I am not from the upper class - Let me repeat, I consider myself from the middle class.
My maternal grand father was seriously upper class, but he gambled the family fortune away. Anyway its all here and there - It does not matter.
It seems like your mind is already made up. No matter what, at all costs,
you will try to do whatever you think is right.
Personally, I do not think it is a good idea for Haiti.
You may get some kind of temporary personal relief - That will be just about it.
All you will do for sure is pushing the foreign investors away.
All Haiti got going for it so far is that amid the disaster Haitians stay calm. There were no uprisings.
The would-be investors were watching.
Let us supposed that you do what you said, How do you think it will help?
I am not quite sure if you were angry about social justice or economical justification.
You are saying the Elite is acting like business as usual
But you want to behaving as business as usual -- exactly where is the change?
It will be just a repeat of the repeats.
I am not sure on what capacity you are talking and on whose behalf.
If you truly you are not alone, Why can't you take a step towards the positive:
Gather the people that you do have, form a group, work of behalf on the People.
Demand (nicely) basic necessities for them. (tents, water, food, medical supplies etc..) through relevant international communities
stay inform on where and who has the donations so that you can make sure the people in need got what they were supposed to get.
sak vid pa kampe - You and your group could be a volunteer org. helping agencies with redistribution.
Write a letter to the Clinton-Bush Team - informed them on what you are doing and how you want to help. Foreigners sometimes truly want to help but at times they don't know how to. You could be of help to them. Serious communications have to formal and in writing at first.
I do understand rage; When the costs are so high, sometimes, it may not be the proper course to act on them.Good Reasoning always prevails in the long
run.
I understand that I am not in your situation
I also understand that you need to swap horns with somebody
But I am saying there are other alternatives, at this point that could be more beneficial to you and Haiti.
