Let's agree to disagree! I believe that since we are Caribbeans and we are located in the Continent of America we should develop more trade, cultural exchange, Temporary workers program with our neighbors, who I think have much more to offer us and our stagnant economy than those French.
We should teach our kids Spanish to someday unified our Country.
How long do you think that two republics can live in harmony on a small island?
As the Dominican economy grow stronger so will their military capability then they will become a threat to us. How many Haitians do speak standard French?
Our national language should become Spanish and English so our future generations can survive in this continent.
What French culture do we possess?
When was the last time you ate a bouillabaisse or know the difference between a "Pinot Noir" and a red wine?
What African culture do we possess?
Perhaps some aspect of their natural religion have survived, but do we eat Joleff chicken or couscous?
MY POINT IS from many we came, but together we became Haitian Caribbeans.
With the reunification of Europe, French will eventually become a dead language just like Latin within a few hundreds of years.
With global warming, it is predicted that most of the islands are going to vanished.
So in order for most of our future generations to survive they will need to move to South and North America.
The Canadians have a good immigration program since their population is only an estimated 28million people.
What do you think the French want anyway?
Do they believe that will allow Haiti to become their "pied de terre" like Martinique and Guadeloupe.
Do you actually think that those avaricious hypocrites are going to give us something for nothing.
I visited Martinique when I went on a seven days Caribbean cruise, they have poverty there too, and its usually the noir creole that are at the other end of the stick.
I understand about the global village and all that, but we are not there yet. We need to concentrate more on the possible unification of the countries of the Americas, instead of getting involved with those "BLOODSUCKING FRENCH AGAIN" Some wrongs can never be made right " not by a large sum of money, not even by the DEATH OF THE PERPETRATOR! So I am going to allow myself this self-indulgence MMMMMMerde! for the French!
