The government's incompetence in time of trouble!!

< Previous | Home | Next >

In these times of great devastation of capital proportion, the entire nation look on their government for leadership, right?

One would believe the government would finally seize this moment to show competence and provide that leadership to its people, wrong! It is the same incompetence uncaring, unresponsive, and the mediocrity as usual.

Here's what I am trying to point out to you all Haitians living in the diaspora and in Haiti.

In a time like this, ALL the diplomatic corp od the Haitian government in the world should have worked overtime if necessary to respond to Haitian calls, concerns, and suggestions.

They would also install additional telephones lines and volunteer staff to handle volume of calls coming in from Haitian citizens who wants to know about developments in their country and designate specific telephone lines for media and foreigners who want to offer support.

Well, none of that is done. It is 8 AM none of the embassies and consulate is open. The phone lines will be jamed and we will be confronted with the same rudness and humiliation if and when we do get to talk with somebody.

Can the Haitian government ever get any decency and understanding to know that they are put in place to serve their people?
