Let Preval be Preval

For better or worse, Rene Preval is going to be our President for the next five years and we all need to get behind the man to put our country back on tracks.

Unlike the stubborn and irrationnal Aristide, Rene Preval is a pragmatist who seems to understands that nothing can be achieved in Haiti without compromise.

The man appears to genuinely care about the future of our nation, he is much loved by the majority of the people, so let's see what how different his second term will be whithout the arrogant and cunning Aristide breathing down his neck.
As a Haitian-American New Yorker, I tend to be very impatient with all the nonsense that permeates the Haitian political landscape but, at this point and time, I am willing to adopt a wait and see attitude and give the President-elect the benefit of the doubt.
