I do not know the details but the government of Haiti do have a contract with The American airlines which in fact eliminated the competition and the possibility of having our own Haiti Air. Their discounted tickets have prevented other carriers from competing and and thus providing us with better services.

that's the same American airlines that lined up Haitians separately in Miami making us look like fools because they claimed we had too many baggages.

They could have dealt with thatproblem differently.

Such as offering a priority mail cargo for excess baggages at a reasonable price.

We all stood there while other passengers went by, they were looking at us strangely, some were whispering "possibly and AIDS breakout" "they might be contaminating the air" I felt humiliated.

Some of the Hotesses de l'air had their hands covering their noses as the Haitians walked into the plane.

I have not travelled to Haiti since.

I would rather die than to travel by American airlines.

Again our government has made decisions that are not in the best interest of its citizens.
