Rubens F. Titus says...

Toto, this is not about only resentment, this is also about historical facts.

They suffocate the baby haiti from birth therefore irreparable brain damage regardless of the amount of care and love given to baby haiti by his parents/leaders.

Mother Haiti received millions dollars of international aid?

You've got to be kidding me! More like millions dollars of debt trap. I encourage every one to go over the fine prints and never disclosed requirements of those so-called "aid package".

Dont' get me wrong Haiti has had its share of treacherous presidents/heads of state with a mistaken view of what's good for Haiti but that's not what the fundamental problem is. No way! The fundamental problem is the presence of foreign powers uninvited warships in my territorial waters for 200 years.

I just finished reading an interview given by Jean-Pierre Boyer in 1840 to John Candler, a british journalist, and Jean-Pierre Boyer, a mulatto chauvinist of all people, basically said in 1840 France has been suffocating young Haiti for over 30 years and there is not much he can do to remedy the situation.

I used to think like you my friend but the truth has set me free; free like the wind.
You call me a fool because I gave a laundry list of painful and detrimental events in Haitian history by foreign powers! What do you think the American declaration of Independence is: it is also a laundry list of accusations toward the crown of England by the American forefathers.

Are calling them a fool also or resentful?

Yes, you bet they were resentful toward the crown of England.

Viva Hayti, my man

You are a sad and resentful person Titus. Please try to live in the present not the past. What good will any of that do for Haiti. Haitians have received millions of dollars more in aid from the international community, consider the debts paid, and m > >

Toto, you made a good point; we must take blame for whatever happen to the country. We destroy properties, overthrow our governments, turn into ennemy whoever is willing to restore and keep order and the laws, and "dechouk"them at the first opportuni > >

Titus, among all the injustices done to Haiti, you forget one, a disturbing one: NAVASA island. On 18 Nov 1857 Capt. Peter Duncan claimed this islan for U.S and today it is administered by U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service as wildlife ref > >

Zandolit, I have a good hope since there many Haitians who see eye to eye on what has happened to mother Haiti in the past 200 years or so. Since Mother Haiti was under diplomatic embargo since 1806 (this is well documented by the way), Henry Christo > >
