Rubens; what I'm about to say to you will be nothing new to you; we discussed the same issue many times before and have consistently disagreed on it. You always think that individuals alone can change things, and I always tell you that individuals can only make local changes, which tend to have little impact on the state of the nation.
I always argue that only a strong and progressive national government can actually change the course of a nation.
If one individual could change the course of a nation Wycleff Jean would have done it--he tried.
I once threw you a challenge on this issue, and although you said you would meet it you simply couldn't. The challenge was that you should come up with a plan that would better Haiti nationally: from point east to point west and point south to point north.
The most important part of the challenge was that you should demonstrate how your national project could be achieved without the national government's participation.
You said that it would only take you a week to show me how what I asked could be done. After several weeks, you could not do it. So my question to you is this, assuming that we come-up with a great plan that will help Haiti (which many of us including yourself have already done and posted on this blog), how would we implement it so that it benefited Haitians all over the country?
If you have no way to actually implement this plan, is it just going to sit here on this blog, like all the other ones we generated before?
If so, why bother?
