I was quoting a French article which said five glasses of water in the US they say 8 glasses.
However: a US.-Canadian panel reviewing nutrient intake recommendations last week issued a report suggesting that there may actually be no need to drink eight glasses of water a day. Fluids in the form of ''juice, milk,tea, fruits,vegetables are fine as sources of water," the panel said, and thirst should be the main guide to how much of anything a person drinks.
By all means you must drink lots of water to flush out acid toxins, but caffeine-containing beverages particularly coffee have diuretic properties which tend to pull water out of the body,
