I can say that Fidel's best accomplishment is education
Housing is an issue - Old houses without proper modernization
nutrition - as food staple consist of flower - sugar - meat is scarce
infrastructure is old and in need of repair
True, the ratio to doctorpatient is high but proper technology is needed
I hate to disappoint you, but Cuba still has social inequality issues notably with African-descent Cubans.

Fidel himself has acknowledged it.
He managed to stay in power for so long and stuck to his gun even though similar
regime was leaving him behind (former USSR, China).

He managed to keep his country self-contained.

The money went from Elite to the government -
There was no real redistribution of wealth
Communism failed - that is a given
Capitalism is being severely tested today
Perhaps, socialism should be given a try with certain restrictions...
