It is so sad that your very serious and pertinent points got lost between your hostile and debasing insults to whomever you were responding to. You use the word "Restavek" like white people use the word "nigger;" with no understanding that it degrades not only the person to whom it applies, but also the person who is applying it. Also, let me correct one slight error you made about Bookman's nationality.

Saying he was a Jamaican is actually incorrect.

Saying that he was an African who had been brought to Jamaica and than to Haiti is more accurate.

Back than slaves were moved around constantly and had no right to a national title.

Hence, Bookman cannot be considered Jamaican.
