You said the Diaspora has no conscience, is this a joke?

Haiti is on life support and the Diaspora is the life support that keeps Haiti alive.

If we were not supporting our families and friends in Haiti the situation would have been much worse.

Yes the Diaspora can play a bigger role in helping Haiti economically and politically but the Haitian government needs to stop treating the diaspora as foreigners.

The attitude of Haitian politicians is "please send us your money but don't tell us how to rule the country because you're a foreigner."

Now you say Duvalier, Aristide and the others are people who love Haiti and only committed small mistakes.

Small mistakes you say. I digress! Robert I understand Haiti's problems are many but if a president cannot improve the status of a country in two terms which is a decade (10 years) in Haiti then he's not fit to lead. He's incompetent.

In a democracy where freedom of speech exists we have a right to speak in favor of our government and we also have a right to criticize them. That's what democracy is. I agree we shouldn't attack the personal lives of our political leaders but if they cannot fulfill the obligations of political office then we have a right to speak out relating to their performance.

I don't understand why Haitians have a different standard when it comes to Haiti.

When it comes to Haiti the attitude is every goes.

The president steal from the coffers, that's okay! He has his opponent assassinated that's okay, for ten years he does nothing while he's in office that's okay too. After all it's Haiti we don't deserve any better.

Here in the US some people are already saying that Obama should have already resolve the economic crisis.

He hasn't even been president for a year. Here you are defending presidents who spend countless years in power yet Haitians have never once seen any improvements.

Every year things seems to get worse and worse.

And who do you want to blame "the diaspora".

Here is a question for you Robert who is ruling Haiti is it the diaspora?

Who makes the decisions, who negotiates the treaties?

At this point I would settle for a president who's going to stabilize the patient (Haiti).
