URGENT aid worker JAILED!

< Previous | Home | Next >

I ask you to personally help in the release of Paul Waggoner from the penitentiary in Haiti.

Paul has worked tirelessly in saving many, many lives in Haiti since the January earthquake.

He has diligently transported critically ill patients to hospitals and delivered desperately needed supplies to the hospitals in earthquake stricken Haiti.

I met Paul Waggoner at Hopital Adventiste in Carrefour a suburb of Port Au Prince where I was nursing in April of this year. (see He transferred a critically ill patient to our OR who we took directly into orthopedic surgery.

Upon completing the transfer he asked what supplies we needed.

I told him of our low supply of oxygen, IV fluids and sterile surgical gowns and he took careful notes.

A couple days later we spoke again by phone as he was working to gather urgently needed supplies for not only our hospital, but for other hospitals in the area that were oftentimes running dangerously low on critical supplies.

I found him to be a thoughtful and kind humanitarian with a heart for the people of Haiti.

Paul Waggoner's jailing and the slow wheels of Haiti's justice system will lead to fewer expatriates joining in the humanitarian effort.

And the people of Haiti desperately need help from world community, from all of us.

Now Paul needs our help, for us to go to his rescue.

Please help him now.

Respectfully yours,

Sylvia Kohler, RN
