I am totally in sync with everything you said except the Gendarmerie. The police is already corrupted, let alone creating an army, or gendarmerie.

This situation will make us further depends on foreign power in order to pay this newly created force, and creates greater opportunities for destabilization.

A} Do you have any idea how many men and women are needed?.

How much money will be needed to get them equipped?.How much money that will be paid to the different ranks, and what is the budget etc. Do you start seeing how complicated this is. One of the reason that none of these forces ever worked is because of the simple fact that nobody knows how much is needed and how they are going to pay for it. This problem in fact created the corruption that we all talked about.

When you give a gun to someone and tell him or her to work and you are not able to pay, with the gun, this individual has enough power to make the rules, this is one of the reason why Haiti is the way it is. We have to start at the bottom.

One other example " The american embassy in Haiti has publicity on the radio that they have a hotline and anyone who is aware of any illegal activities should call and report such activities to them. Where is the police, and any Haitian for that matter do this in the US. Thus is not why they are there for and such meddling further undermine our abilities These kinds of statements should never be allowed in a sovereign nation even if it was with good intentions.

While we have a pandemic kidnapping, who is giving motorcycle to the Haitian police, the American embassy.

Would a motorcycle be what is needed now?, I do not think so, and should we relied on foreign powers to give us anything.

I think that we all have good ideas, but Haiti's Government need to know what they need and how they are going to get it, until we have leaders who can strategically plan for Haiti we are bound to repeat the same mistakes over again.Today, has anyone knows about Haiti's production capacity, or lack thereof.

Has anyone or the government know how much money is needed to support all these ideas, has anything been throughly investigated in order to find out much capacity or wealth that the Haitian economy may be able to create.

We can not start in the middle and expect top-notch result.

I believe that politics needs to be done differently in Haiti.

The president can surround him or herself around with all his or her friends in the presidential cabinet, but key positions such as the central bank, IRS, The police force, customs need to be entrusted with capable people in order to change the country.

The government needs to create programs as well as knowing how much it would cost to run such programs and whether or not that the money can come from directly from Haiti.

The kidnapping phenomenon we are currently experiencing in Haiti is a by-product of the coup, worsen by the new found misery created as well. I believe that the occupying forces in Haiti has to do with the insecurity, because many of them have been accused without due process.

Many of them are from countries where the kidnapping is pandemic as well and they are well equipped to form groups in Haiti without any problem.

I think that we all have to be vigilant, soon there will be need for the Minustha contract to be renewed, watch and see things will be upside down. I think that we all need to send a camera to our family so that these acts of insecurity can be witnessed and once for all can be dealt with.
