Président René Préval a quitté Port-au-Prince Vendredi pour Miami pour un problème de santé.

Secrétaire Général Fritz Longchamps a confirmé le déplacement.

Il n'a pas donné de détails sur la santé du président.

New Bird flu cases were found in the North West region of the Dominican Republic 1 Mars 2008. Thousands of birds were killed in that area and within a radius of 5 kilometers within the virus hit areas.

Haiti has stopped importing chickens and eggs from the Dominican Republic since the bird flu outburst of December 2007.
