Uncle Philippe,
I say "Amen e Insiswatil" to everything you said. This has always been my message to all of us Haitians.
However, like you said to a certain degree, there must be strong leadership coming from somewhere that could engage Haitians in order to change the state of our country.
As it is now and how it has always been, is that the government is running a politics of exclusion, which defragmanted Haitian society.
Many Haitians have become delusional so much that they're living in this illusion that makes them to believe they can just go to Haiti and change everything themselves without some kind of leadership coming from somewhere.
As you mentioned, I think the time has come for Haitians to stand up to the government to demand change, and not until the government shows leadership and good will to bring change in Haiti that the rest of us Haitians can really embark on the band wagon to rebuild our country, and I am not talking on a micro and mezzo level, but on a macro level.
I am waiting for that leadership to do my part, until then, I'd have no choice but to stay here in the US eating chicken wings and pizza with a can of soda to wash it down.
The bible says "a sheep without a shepard" is a loss sheep.
A people without a leader to lead them is a loss people.
