Touching on Haiti names new Prime Minister Dimanche 27 Avr, I am not as optimistic as you are. I know that right now there are probably all sorts of plans set to keep this government in power and to include the members of the previous Aristide government.
Most of the Haitian people who are in Haiti really don't understand politics and how devious it can be. Some of those who do get what's going on don't care; they are the "new" Haitian elite who have no pride or dignity and all they want is to be Dominican.
The few people who do understand what's going on and who do care are just not enough numerically to make a real difference.
But maybe you and RPT are right and I am just too pessimistic.
