Solar Thermal Technology The Way To Go For Haiti

In Haiti, the Peligre Dam on the Artibonite River was completed as part of a plan to provide irrigation to the Artibonite River valley.

It was built to last 50 years: in fact, its reservoir has silted up so quickly that it appears that the dam was decommissioned.

The reason for so much silt is due to the cutting of trees and land erosion.

Solar thermal technology is an alternative to electrical power..

It may cost a little more at the beginning but it would be worth every penny fifty years from now. Haiti should exploit the one resource that there is plenty of which is the Sun! According to the articles I posted Haiti's government officials are forced to do something when the problems fester and create upheaval.
