Codo; What President Preval or any other president is expected...
Linda says...
Codo; What President Preval or any other president is expected to do is to lead. The first job of a true leader is to put in place the people and the mechanism that will make the country work. It is not about him doing it himself.
NOW LET'S SEE HOW OUR SO CALLED LEADER HAS DONE FOR ALL THE YEARS HE HAS BEEN IN OFFICE:
1. The Haitian people are finally able to feed their children?
What's your answer to this Codo?
2. The country is now clean and Haitians no longer have to cross tons of filth if they go downtown or anywhere else?
Hey Codo, what about this one?
How are your answers coming?
3. The country is now exporting more and importing less?
Are you thinking of an answer for this one Codo?
4. Tourists are bringing their sweet money to our shores?
Wait! Wait! I think I did see a couple of white folks in those poor areas.
Ahh, shucks...it was just these missionaries who keep getting their funds as long as we Haitians keep getting bad press.
5. About bad PR...how about this oh so unimportant AIDS issue.
Do you have any idea of the impact this will have on our economy?
HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT ANYTHING AT ALL CODO, BESIDES YOU SORRY NEED TO DEFEND AN INDIVIDUAL WHO IS TOO BUSY DOING NOTHING TO EVEN APPRECIATE YOUR DEFENSE.
6. The Haitian population's illiteracy rate is now at least 75%.
Oh sorry, not yet. OK, well how about 60%.
No still wrong! OK well how about 55%.
OK so I give up. Hey Codo, how about you answer this one?
7. Well OK, maybe the above things were just too hard for our sorry president; let's try some basic ones. Haitians now have basic electricity.
No?
OK, than how about just the people in the capital, they have regular electricity.
No! Codo you didn't just say no to that did you?
8. Well so, I'm almost out of ideas of the basic things that any idiotic government should provide.
I got it! There is running water in most places; Well yeah maybe I'll say that people in the capital have running water.
That is the first thing that any leader tries to provide to its population.
I don't hear you Codo...did you say that, yes at least in your part of town in Haiti everyone has access to drinking water?
HEY CODO, I CAN'T HEAR YOU. DID YOU ANSWER YES TO ANY OF THE ABOVE QUESTIONS?
The topic is: Haitians from everywhere unite!!!
