Sen. Lambert speaks of «declaration of war»

After the warning launched Thursday by the President Martelly haitilibre.com/en/news-2884-haiti-..., the President-elect had said on the sidelines of his discourse "If there are people who are not happy that Michel Martelly is President, and if they think that they will break what we will do, we tell them that they made &#8203;&#8203;a mistake, they make a big mistake, a big fault.

[...] everybody who is on our route, be careful, they are violating the law. We makes elections and the names change! We will conduct investigations and those responsible will pay. So, forewarned is forearmed..."

Reacting to the words of Michel Martelly, Sen. Joseph Lambert declared this Friday "This is a threat against the State and the parliamentarians" He considers the words of the new President, to investigate and bring to justice those who participated in fraud in recent elections as a declaration of "war" adding that if the President Martelly continues on this way "he will have problems with the majority group in Parliament" adding that this situation reminded him what happened with Jean-Bertrand Aristide in 1991, suggesting there could have serious consequences for the country in case of confrontation between the Executive and Legislative branches.
