Sebastian, $1 more for every $100 we send to Haiti is not too...
Tiba says...
Sebastian,
$1 more for every $100 we send to Haiti is not too bad after all if you know anything about addition, substraction, multiplication and division.
Preval was charging $ 1.50 on every $10 Haitians send to their families in Haiti.
After all, money transfer to Haiti by Haitians is a $1.5 billion yearly industry.
Could you ask Preval what he's done with all of the money he collected from those transfers?
Preval currently charges $250 for one Haitian passport that is valid only 5 years.
Where is your outcry!
Haitians living on province must pay at least $50 US to catch the bus to P-A-P (depending what part of the country one is coming from).
Once in P-A-P, it costs them a lot of money for meal and lodging.
They cannot just zoom in and zoom right out. They have to stay in P-A-P for days and, sometimes, weeks just to apply for a stupid passport.
The sadest and the most humiliating thing about it is that having a birth certificate is not enough and is not all one needs to apply for a stupid passport in Haiti.
You have to go to the Archives Office to get an abstract of the birth certificate, which costs $50 US and you have to wait at least 2 weeks to get it. To get it any sooner you have to pay someone who works in that office and sometimes you have to pay more than what the passport costs.
All that money goes directly to Preval's bank account in Suisse.
Where is the outcry?
My friend had shipped a truck to Haiti and went to Haiti last month, to St.Marc, to get the stupid truck out of custom.
He bought the stupid truck for $8,000 US, but it costs him $15,000 US to get the damn truck out of Haitian custom.
This is what's called classic stealing in broad day light.
I bit you, $5,000 out of the $15,000 goes to the port's director and the other $10,000 goes straight to Preval's bank account in Suisse.
This is the Haiti Preval has created.
Haiti is not a country but rather a corporation that is being run by and for Preval.
The Haitian presidency position doesn't pay no more than $4,000 a month, how come Preval's net worth is in the billions?
Where did he get all of that money from?
Keep in mind that he(Preval) doesn't write books and he doesn't give speeches all over the world.
Preval has sucked the blood out of Haiti and will leave it out dry.
Where is the outcry?
The topic is: Martelly intend to charge $1 more for every $100 you send to Haiti
