Following up on THE FORGOTTEN BLACK BOURGEOISIE, Jynee, I was very quick on my first response because I was ready for bed. On my second reading of your post, I agree even more, but, certain parameters should serve as a blueprint for success.

I especially liked your comment about earth moving equipment.

You are very precise on that point, and you are on target.

Why millions of the aid money wasn't directed to heavy equipment is beyond me. I can only assume, quite seriously, that American misunderstanding of the priority issues has lead to misdirection of resources.

I mean that very seriously.

American leaders need to LISTEN before action is taken, especially in the case of such a fragile country, our Cousin, nonetheless.
