Charles Henri Baker and the Haitian Slave Mentality

Despite the great strides Haitians have made against slavery and oppression, many Haitians, including some on this forum, still possess the slave mentality.

A few years ago, Mr. Baker received a very small percentage of the vote, because the majority of Haitians knew what he was about, and that he worked for the American imperialists, but today, he is the front-runner.

yes, it's true that the majority of the parties were barred from running (Democracy in Action), but the fact that he's a frontrunner tells those with a working brain something.

Mr. Baker - a member of the Haitian oligarchy - owns sweatshops and conspire with transnational corporations to enslave Haitians who work for four dollars per day sewing clothes and other garments.

This isn't it, however.

Mr. Baker conspired with the US to overthrow Haiti's democratically elected president back in 2005.

Today, Mr. Baker is telling Haitians want Haitians want to hear with no intent to deliver, and the slave Haitians believe him, despite his sketchy record.

I suspect many of the Haitian slaves - in Haiti and in the diaspora - that support him these days do it because they feel he - looking as he does - will bring a "brighter" outlook on Haiti, especially in the US, Canada, and elsewhere who would love to see this guy become president.
