GOOD LUCK HAITI,
If you do not agree that a democratically elected government that is functioning in a dictatorial manner should be allowed to complete its term, you should then chase President Bush out of the White House.
In many ways, since Osama Bin Laden and his cronies blew up the World Trade Center, Bush has been acting like a dictator in the name of national security by:
1.Spying on telephone calls and e-mails without congressional approval or a court order;
2. Keeping track of people's banking activities without their permission;
3. Incarcerating hundreds of people for years without charging them with a crime;
4.Deceiving the nation with bogus intelligence and false pretense to start a war in Iraq, etc...
Even the US Supreme Court recently rebuked the president for denying the terrorits in Cuba of their right to due process under the US Constitution.
Should we then overthrow the Bush administration?
This kind of mindset, though prevalent in many countries around the world, including Haiti, is not conducive to a democratic form of government.
Instead of the old Haitian Motto, namely, "coupe tet and boule caye," we ought to let people express their displeasure by voting a government out of office as long as such a government is not guilty of high crimes or constitutional violations worthy of impeachment under the laws of the United States.
