Haiti's Elections Will Be A Deja Vu

Toulimen says...

Haitian political leaders are not serious; therefore, one cannot have good elections in Haiti.

The last democratic elections that we had was with Mrs. Ertha Trouillot.

As a woman, she was neutral and she respected the verdict of the people by electing Aristide as president.

Ertha was not a friend of Aristide and she did not vote or favor Aristide during those last elections.

She was a strong woman and she wanted good for her country.

With Haitian males as election makers we never had good elections in Haiti in the past, but Ertha told the last CEP to monitor the elections and to respect the vote of the Haitian people, for many Haitian male politicians were and are always bluffers or magouilleurs by nature.

If we want to have strong reforms to occur in Haiti we should promote Haitian women.

In America, they are promoting women as governors and senators now. They have 20 women candidates as governors for the November elections in the U.S. and they predict that politics will change in the U.S. with women candidates on board.

We should do that in Haiti, for Ertha Trouillot was a good model for all Haitian women in Haiti.

If Haiti wants change they should vote for Mirelande Manigat for she is qualified and competent too. She was a direct adviser of her husband when he was president in Haiti and the country was doing very well. The Namphy's coup d'etats as dictated by CIA destroyed Haiti and we are still suffering of this effect.

Mirelande Manigat has some political experience and she will be able to govern Haiti well. I firmly believe that she could be the next Madam President in Haiti.

Haitian male politicians suck, but with Mirelande and Baker as Prime Minister I think Haiti will have a chance to resurface on the international scale.

Don't be so disappointed to see again another Haiti's elections Deja Vu ok...

Toulimen your comment was sexist and ridiculous. I have no problem with women in politics or any other leadership positions in society but women can be just as devious and corrupt. I agree we should promote women to leadership positions but it sh > >
