French is not Haitian second or First language, period.
Just some of us who pretend to speak French think that Creole is not a language, but to me, Jean Pe, Creole is a normal language.
The other creole languages in the world may be a dialect, but Haitian Creole is definitely a language.
A language spoken by more then 7 millions people, how come it's not a language?
Now, You said "if we as Haitian made it mandatory to educate our own to SPELL properly and READ properly, creole would not be necessary."
I guess that you referred to French language.
Well, let me ask "why not instead take time teaching the people their Creole language properly and make is an official only language in Haiti?
As I said before, "Haitian people do not speak French".
The language is not function in Haiti.
French is merely use in Haiti by some people who try to make themselves stand out; to make believe that they are more educated.
You see the problem is being the kind of people most of us are. For example, almost anything bad they say about Haiti or Haitian people, we just let go and accept it and then they all become what they think of us.
So that's how it came about Creole is not a language.
Because we've heard that for too long and we accepted it as being true. But it's not a true fact. n1hc.com
