Duvalier never got a coup d'etat because he had killed 19 officers who were trying to take over his palace.

Duvalier gathered the whole army, killed these officers in their face. The whole army witnessed the feeling, the survivors were deadly scared of even thinking about a coup d'etat again.

Caya had a problem with Duvalier, instead of trying to fixe it, he took over a submarine, hit the sea with a dozen officers.

I was a little boy at that time, but I remembered the canoes'noise and there was an airplane trying to shoot over the submarine; it was very scary.

The noise is still living in my long term memory, it will never go away. That was a strong impact for me as a little boy. I remembered myself hiding under my father's bed.

Once the Duvalier left Haiti in 1986, the army was no longer scared.

There was not a PAPA DOC who would line them up and kill them by dozens.

I would like you to remeber one after one everything the army has done after 1986:

There is something that I would like you to know and think deeply about it Zay.

ONCE THE ARMY IS ON POWER, THE PRESIDENT HAS NO POWER.

IF ANY PRESIDENT GOES AGAINST THE ARMY'S RULE OR IDEAS, THAT PRESIDENT WILL CERTAINLY HAVE A COUP D'ETAT.

After 1986, the Haitian army ruled the country.

Any president has to do what the army said; otherwise the chief army will take over. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THIS PART?

I would like to ask you a simple question right now Zay:

Do you Know who are these guys and what they have done to the country?

Raoul Cedras

If our general Henry Namphy did not kick Manigat out of the palace, we would line up today among the rich Islands.

Henry Namphy did the worst damage to Haiti and Raoul Cedras just achieved the path.

I WOULD LIKE EVERY SINGLE HAITIAN TO UNDERTAND THAT haiti is like a baby right now. The country cannot digest an army. Haiti needs sometimes to move on slowly; and the country is lucky to have a man like Rene Preval.

He does not kill any one; people say whatever they want about him. Nobody will get pick up secretly at night in front of their family and friends.
