Centered on Diaspora obsession with Dual Citizenship, Ayiti Lokal,

I suspect that you are ademently against "dual citizenship", am I right?

If so, you still can't tell us exactly why you, personally, are against the idea. We all know what Haiti's constipation, oops! my bad! I meant to say Haiti's constitution says on the issue.

Tell us why you, personally, are against dual citizenship.

All of you Haitians, including the government, who are against "dual citizenship" can't have it both ways, you know! You have to pick and choose but cannot have it all your way. What I mean by that you may ask.

Here's what I mean, you cannot expect the naturalized citizens to keep sending their hard earned money to families in Haiti whom the Haitian government is responsible to protect, to serve, and to feed, and not expect the naturalized citizens to lobby by pressuring the US government to change its racist policy against Haiti (this is something you and all those Haitian with only a green card cannot do because you have no ligitimate rights to do so), you cannot expect naturalized citizens to invest in Haiti and do a lot of other things in Haiti, etc. etc...

while you and others like yourself want absolutely to keep these naturalized citizens away from Haiti by denying them dual citizenship.

You have got to choose!

Understand that majority of Haitians who have renounced to their Haitian nationality did so in order to spare their live from getting killed by the Haitian government, their government.

Many of these Haitians who became naturalized did so because they were thrown out of their country by the Haitian government.

The Haitian government did not want them to stay and live in their own country, Haiti.

The time has now come for the Haitian government to issue a big apology to all Haitians for treating them in such inhuman manner.

This is the time for the Haitian government to redeem itself by doing the right thing, which is issuing dual citizenship to all in the diaspora.

That would be the right think the Haitian government could ever do providing the government has some decency left.

The topic is: Correction for my last post.
