With regard to Me le President aide moi s il vous plait, Banjo let's get it straight I'm 22 years old and I'm not running for president of Haiti therefore I will talk however I want. And if I was running for president I would beat Montressor hands down. What, so Montressor couldn't take the heat and now he sends you his minion to defend him. Well you're not doing a very good job now are you, I think he should fire you. Imagine that a presidential candidate who's afraid of a 22 year old.
Ooohhh what a cute little puppy, are you supposed to be the attack dog. Is that a chihuahua i see. No It can't be.
You come here attacking me simply because I questioned Montressor's political plans for Haiti.
And now you're trying to take the high road, and trying to give me the Holier than thou attitude.
Like you're some kind of respectful, well-mannered saint.
Dude you gonna finish what you started right here right now.
You called me a bastard and suggested that I was some kind of crook who's seeking money and now you want me to be all diplomatic.
Why weren't you diplomatic and respectful to me first, it's a two way street.
You showed me no respect you attacked me unprovoked and now you say I haven't learned anything from the people I've met. No, no, no brother it doesn't work like that; it is imperative that i respond in kind.
Do you think successful people succeed by being bashful and by letting other people walk all over them. Newsflash banjo, they don't let people walk over them they stand up for themselves.
When I'm with my American friends I'm an American and I act and speak like an American.
When I'm at home I'm a Haitian I act and speak like a Haitian lucky for me my grandparents are still alive and they live with us so they help me keep my creole very well polished and I've also learned from them that with Haitian you can't always be too nice because when you give them one inch they take a whole yard.
And banjo let me tell you something else don't be fooled by US politicians, don't be fooled by the nice demeanor they portray in front of the camera or in public.
These people are the most devious, calculating creatures you will ever met.
You shouldn't bite more than you can chew. Because I don't play! Next time think twice before you attack me because i will do more than pull down my pants.
And dude let me tell you another secret, you haven't seen my true color yet, this is Zachary being nice?
You know nothing about politics, last year was the best year of my life I learned so much about politics, I got to vote for the first time and me and my friends were part of the Obama campaign team, we worked hard to get young people to register to vote on time and we made sure they voted early.
So you see, I know how politics work, me asking a candidate though questions doesn't mean that I hate him. It's my job to know where he stands on the issues.
People like you are guided by emotions and mediocrity.
And dude tell me what the hell do you mean that i'm seeking money?
Have I ever asked anybody for money on this site?
Have you ever seen me asked anybody to contribute to a fraudulent campaign.
Le ou menm ak tout race ou te kon'n vole nan gouvernman gran'n mwen se diri li te kon'n al van'n l'ester pou ocupe fanmi li tande.
In case you don't speak creole let me translate that for you: While you and your whole family were stealing money from the government, my grandmother she used to go to L'Ester to buy rice for sale and that's how she took care of her family.
That lady can't even stand up straight today because of years of hard labor so don't you dare suggest that I'm some kind of thief.
My family thought me the meaning of hard work and integrity.
My family lived a very simple life in Haiti and when I moved to the US my teachers saw how serious I was about learning so they encouraged me and they would always send to conferences, field trips because they saw potentials in me. I don't know you and I don't know how old you are sir and I really don't care to be honest with you but I will bring you down and beat you.
Oh, wait I get it, Montressor has already promised you a job didn't he?
what is it?
Come on you can tell me. Wait, wait, wait let me guess, is it his press secretary or maybe his prime minister?
Listen here you Banjo and what kind of name is banjo anyway?
I'm not trying to impress you. I try to impress people I admire and respect, I try to impress people I want to emulate.
If I tell you a little about my experiences and the people I've met I do it to show you that if i was looking for power, true power i would do what my best friend is doing right now. I would go back and continue to volunteer for the US representative of my district and continue to interact with the local political leaders of my community and work my way up from there.
Because that's the pros do it.
I know you couldn't possibly understand what i'm saying.
Let me simplify it for you; you see Banjo I can't possibly be jealous of montressor when I can work hard and become one of those US leaders who will be telling montressor what to do if he should ever become president of Haiti.
What you may not know is that there's a lot of young Haitians like me who came to the US really young and a lot more who were born here. And when we think about politics we are thinking about running for positions like US senators, US representatives, mayors, and state governors here in the US. And we know the best way to start is by volunteering for our local politicians.
People like you think about getting a job somewhere, people like my generation think about starting a successful company.
We think about being the next leaders.
Apati de jodi-a fe kwa sou bouch ou paske zachary sa-a ou we la se neg tchak.
Jan ou paret la se konsa map recevwa'w.
