Linda says...

NO no Tiba! I never thought you were Zac's age. I actually think your closer to my age, just older.

As a kid, I also remember the great wonderful Haiti.

A place were no matter how poor people were they were always clean and proud.

A place where the elite was selfish, but still wanted the best for their country, that meant leaving at least something for the poor. A place were one could walk at night and nothing at all would happen to harm you (except if you were part of the whole vodou thing).

A place were after school we always bought the long Tito candy, and a cone of shansham.

I remember that fresco and pate vendors would come by and every kid ate from them because they were so clean and tasty.

I remember wonderful things about my country.

I remember how proud I was to say I was Haitian when I went to the US. Preval and Aristide killed all that. But, anyway, no, I never thought that you were Zac's age ...

I did think that you were about my age, and now I think that maybe you're about 10 years older than me. You knoooow, 10 years is not much of a difference.

In a none cyber world we could have dated (smile).
