That was a very good point you made. Going to school part-time will still qualify him for Pell Grant from the federal government as long as he is not taking lesser than 6 credits.

He will not, however, get (TAP) Tuition Assistance Program because to get that you have to be full-time and carry a load of 12 credits.

But if he goes part-time (6 credits) and not getting enough Pell Grant to pay tuition and books, he will then be able to get Stafford loans to pay for everything and get some left to live on.

All that said, the decision is up to him to take advantage od the little information you and me have given him, or to just say, well, I hear you guys, and thank you for all your affort, but no thank you, I am good just where I am. I am already doing okay without a college degree.

Zac, know that whatever you decide, you got my support.
