I did not defend the horrible acts commited by Dominicans against Haitians.
I was just saying that these kinds of discrimination happens wverywhere.
It even happens in Haiti--yes, in Haiti.
There are places in Haiti where if you wander by accident, you'll be run out if you're dark skinned and poor.
So the question is: do we have a right to be upset at Dominicans who commit these horrible acts and who think they're better than Haitians.
My answer is yes. We just shouldn't be upset at all Dominicans because not all of them are like that.
One more thing, I'me black and very dark skinned.
My wife is very fair skinned.
I don't consider her white--just light skinned.
I've been to places in the Cibao, where there are kids who look white with blonde hair. Some of them run around naked because they're so poor. People with blonde hair who can't afford toothbrush for their kids. I don't see hatred in those kids at all. So does discrimination exist in the D.R., of course.
Does it exist in Haiti?, of course.
Does it exist in the United States?, of course.
Can we eradicate it?, my answer is no.
The topic is: I got cut off by Haitian embassy in D. C.
