Philippe says...
I never implied that the individual who was killed got what he deserved.
I'm not the type who believe in an eye for an eye. And i'm definitely not defending any dominican.
Violence is never justified.
I regret if my comment came off as suggesting that my fellow haitian got what he deserved.
I spent the whole day on youtube watching videos of how haitians are treated in the bateys in Santo Domingo.
I saw how haitians in general are treated in Santo Domingo.
It made me sad, it made angry and it made me realized that as a haitian i have to contribute to the amelioration and prosperity of my country.
It's not enough that we complain or postulate with no action.
We need to spend less time talking and more time trying to find ways to help our country.
Talking is easy coming up with solutions is not. As far as the name calling and accusations you've leveled agaisnt me i won't dignify that. But i think if we're going to have a discussion as intelligent and civilized people we need all the facts in regard to the incident.
You seem to be more interested in starting a fight than knowing what really happened.
Stating the facts doesn't mean i'm defending any dominican.
You're angry simply because i said what happened; that shows that you're volatile and hot-tempered.
I read your comment and i laughed because you don't know me just like you don't know what happened in santo Dominigo yet you're calling me traitor and saying that you would like to see me get lynched.
What does that make you my friend.
by saying what you said don't you realize you're being as barbaric as the dominicans who killed that haitian.
You want to be my judge and executioner regardless of any facts.
You're mentality is identical to the dominican mob, they obviously didn't care about the law. You see there lies the problems of haiti.
People act and judge before facts are presented.
That's why innocents are killed and jailed in haiti because noone is interest in the facts; a rumor is all it takes.
And furthermore i was not attacking tiba, i simply said that there was nothing wrong with the haitian consulate asking him to speak creole or french which are our official languages.
The consulate is an extention of haiti abroad it's a part of haiti on foreign soil. there's nothing wrong with an officer asking a haitian to speak creole to him, ridiculing that is like ridiculing a haitian at the airport in port-au-prince who asks you to speak to creole or french to him. My friend i'm tempted to respond in kind, i'm tempted to use the kind of language you used and tear you down but that's not who i want to be and it wouldn't solve anything.
