Mr. Knight
You have made a good point.

We should not criticize the president or anyone for what he did for a living.

We should focus instead on his performance.

We must criticize with judgment, guided by logic and reason and not bitterness or fanatism...

We must be objective in our criticism which needs some "spices" from time to time. Personally, I don't like the way the president conducts himself; he miserably fails to deliver what he promised.

I wonder why he was so successful as a private citizen, and a failure as president.

Obviously, he has done something good to be where he is now, but why does he stop there?

RGP shows a striking similarity with those who successfully escaped the country in quest of a better life, but when they reach their destination, or obtain legal status, they stop pursuing their goal; they achieve nothing after many years abroad! Beer, lottery, sex, drug and many hidden and bad habits become their passion.

We stop buying flowers and caring for the woman we desperately hunt, after conquering her heart..., we stop going to church after obtaining what we were praying for; we stop calling a friend after we get what we wanted, all courtesy or manner stopped after we got a degree, or a job etc. Is Preval one of those who are comfortably resting on their laurels?

Zarien Krab I agree with almost everything you've said, but you failed to acknowledge that the way Haitians think and feel about profession/career has to do with the Haitian culture, which is a backward/primitive culture. Growing up in Haiti, I > >

Hans Duperoi, you crossed the line. He is probably a former boulanger, but he has reached the top. He is the president of Haiti. And the Haitian people still in love with him. He might committ some gross erros as a president, but he is the first H > >

Mr Hans, I read with great pleasure your reply. I understand your frustration which is the absolute echo of what we are feeling toward our leaders. A person who makes it to the top of the social ladder should remember where he comes from; therefore > >

The Dark Knight, With all due respect, can you please establish the difference between "respect and being polite"? You said to Hans Duperois:"I don't ask you to respect him (Preval), but I want you to be polite to yourself" You seem to be ex > >

Honorable Tiba! We all know that he was one of the multitude of friends and followers of Aristide. Why was he chosen to be prime minister, and after the demise of the defrocked priest, why was he elected. He must have something that distinguished hi > >
