I have received a bit of news regarding the situation at the orphanage at City of God in Port au Prince, Haiti, and I'm glad to pass it on. The person who I have been referring to as "Brother" Pierre St Vistal, is not and apparently has never been a member of any religious order, specifically he has never been a part of the Redemptorist Order.

Similarly, the orphanage I have referred to as "City of God" was never a part of or the responsibility of the Redemptorists.

"Brother" St Vistal was merely a layman who worked at this orphanage, and apparently he has been charged with sexual abuse and is currently jailed on those charges.

I sincerely regret my mischaractorization and apologize to the Redemptorists.

I was merely inquiring about rumors I had heard and I clearly spoke from inadaquate knowledge.

My thanks to Fr. Joe of the Redemptorists for setting me straight.

Tiba, your observation about religious zealots and their supposed aid to Haiti is very accurate. In 1997, I went on a research expedition of these orphanages. What I found was shocking. I documented it all on film. Let me first explain that the origi > >
