Relating to Haiti Private Sector development with Ag. Foc, It seems to me that what Linda says is good advice to both the people of Haiti to whom she appears to have directed it, and to those of us who seek to do business in Haiti, whether that business is for profit or directed, from our perspective, at assisting friends in Haiti to "better themselves".
It is easy enough for someone from the "developed" world to think that economic advancement equates to moral superiority, or some such thing.
If we look at our history dispassionately, we will see that we have made mistakes along with the times we have acted in furtherance of the common good, in the global sense.
Oftentimes, it seems, the mistakes resulted from assuming we knew what was best for our friends, without consulting with them to see what they thought would be helpful.
