the question is where do we start

Mark says...

We can all agree that the government cannot do it alone, almost everything is broken in Haiti.

Help is available, there are countless Haitians both in Haiti and abroad who possess the skills and expertises needed to help the country but they're worried about the high level of crime and the never ending corruption.

I read an article last week on the site of radio metropole, in it experts at a conference in washington stated that insecurity, and corruption are preventing economic developments in Haiti.

I agree an 100 percent. For anyone to help or invest they have to feel secure.

No person in his right mind would sacrifice himself in vain. The Preval Alexis government should focus on providing security and reforming the judicial system to better fight crime and corruption.

Once that is done our country will be fertile ground for economic development.

We can help in other areas but it's the responsibility of the government to do what's necessary to provide security; and get rid of corrupt judges.

I don't know if Preval and Alexis are men of character and integrity.

They need these traits to fight corruption.

Being one the most corrupted country makes it very easy for any leader to steal or mismanage money and avoid facing prosecution.

Apart from security and corruption education is also another thing that needs attention.

The whole educational system needs to be reformed and the government needs to invest more on education.

The problem is none of the ministers seem to have a plan for their ministries they lead.

Selondieu I'm not oppose to students studying abroad. Like i've said previously, in most cases it provides a great experience for the students. My point is that Haitian society gets nothing out of it when the students do not return to Haiti. The pro > >
